The 1’th Bengal Original Culture Festival 202o was held in Dhaka over. The Fest organized by Dhaka Festival.
On behalf of Dhaka Festival to invited Smt. Mansi Das, officer of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of India, Founder of Art and Artist Practice Center “Dishari” and Professor of Jadavpur University, Researcher Dr. Shamik Ghosh was talk in the International Seminar on Lalleshwari in this Fest.
Dr. Shamik Ghosh researched on Kashmiri Lalishwari and introduced to Lali music from the Kashmiri language in to Bengal first time. Lali music was first performed in Bangladesh through this festival.
Dhaka Festival and Department of “Theater and Performance Studies” at the University of Dhaka jointly organized an International Seminar on Lalleshwari. Two days long 1st Bengal Original Cultural Festival was held on 12th to 13th January 2020, at the Natmandol Auditorium in University of Dhaka.
On the first day of the festival, on January 12, Sunday, from 4 pm to 10 pm, the 1st Bengal Original Cultural festival was dedicated to the father of the Nation Bangabandhu and “Mujib 100” year of 2020-21, in opening ceremony.
The main attraction of the festival was the first presentation in Bengal to Kashmiri spiritual Lalleshwari (Lal Dead).
In the first session, the festivities begin with the national anthem of the two countries. On the occasion, Maksuda Sultana Oykkoo, the chief international coordinator of the festival, addressed the launch on behalf of Bangladesh. Smt. Mansi Das, the founder of “Desiree” on behalf of India, spoke and highlighted the art and artistic practices of the Dishari through video display.
Special guest of the festival, literary writer, lyricist, Freedom Fighter S.M Shawkat Osman was delivered on Welcome Spock at the festival.
In the second session, at presented the research paper and discussed with Professor of Jadavpur University, Dr. Shamik Ghosh on Kashmiri spiritual Laleshwari (lal Dead). Researcher Manjurul Islam Megh presented research papers on the Bengal Original performance Arts.
In the third session, honor crest was conferred on behalf of the 1’st Bengal Original Culture Festival to Indian delegate, researcher, Prof. Dr. Shamik Ghosh and Mrs. Mansi Das were honored with special guests at the ceremony. The honorees are the Head of the Department of Theater and Performance Arts of Dhaka University Dr. Ahmed Kabir, Fiction writer, lyricist, freedom fighter S.M Shawkat Osman, Dhaka University professor Dr. Israfil Shahin, Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh to Assam, India Dr. Shah Mohammad Tanvir Monsur, distinguished actor Tutul Chowdhury, World Humanity Commission of Bangladesh , Ambassador Dewan Bedarul Islam, Mehedi Hassan. Special guest of honor gave a brief speech.
In the fourth session, there was a panel discussion. Lalleshwari researcher and professor of Jadavpur University Dr. Shamik Ghosh presented the talk on Lalleshwari. Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Fiction writer Dr Nooruddin Jahangir over the presided of this session. Assistant Professor of Music Department of Dhaka University Dr. Saim Rana and Lalan researcher Dr. Abu Ishaq Hossain were a panel speaker. Maqsuda Sultana Oykko hosting this session.
In the fifth session, a classical dance was performed on the music of Lalon, Lali and Rabindra, under the direction of Smt. Mansi Das. Students of the Department of “Theater and Performance Studies”, University of Dhaka performances also.
In the sixth session, Honored by World Humanity Commission Bangladesh and Dishari.
In the seventh and last session of the day, eminent reciter artist Mahnoor Jarin Sharmi recited from Charajapad. Baul singer Mousumi Bala, Nazmul Hasan Prabhat, Lamia Aishwarya, Oikti Jeet Roy, Pradeep Adhikari performed the music of Lalon and Lali.
Festival Director Monjurul Islam Megh thanked everyone and concluded the session and said that the Bengal Original Cultural festival will be held every year. And it was announced that the 2nd Bengal Original Cultural Festival 2021, will be held on 12th to 15th January in next year.
